In My Mailbox (11)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi of The Story Siren with inspiration from Alea of Pop Culture Junkie.

The idea of IMM is to encourage blogger interaction and expose books to our readers' attention. You aren't limited to books that you've received via mail; you can also include books you've bought or checked out at the library.

I'm sure most of you (or, err, maybe some of you?) have noticed I haven't been around as much as usual. My best friend came on a spur-of-the-moment visit to California. She lives in Texas and it sucks having a bff live so far away, so I spent most of the last week and a half hanging out with her. She's leaving tomorrow so I'll be back to posting/blogging regularly until school starts. :) Sooo without further ado, this is my haul since the 2nd.

For Review:
Dorris Bridge by Clive Riddle
Talisman of Elam by Jim Mastro
The Dragon of Cripple Creek by Troy Howell

From Giveaways:
Fallen by Lauren Kate
Torment by Lauren Kate
A Highlander Christmas by Dawn Halliday, Cindy Miles, Sophie Renwick [from The Bookish Snob]
Knight of Angels: Book of Love by Abra Ebner [from Katie's Book Blog]
Knight of Angels: Book of Revenge by Abra Ebner [from Katie's Book Blog]
The Tranquillity Initiative by Joan Meijer + super cute green caterpillar bookmark [from Lisa is a Bookworm]

So what did you all get in your mailbox this week? :)

I have a really good friend who lives in California too, and I'm here in Tx. I actually thought of going out to see her come the spring break time, but now I can't. California is beautiful. Anyways, sorry off topic convo. You have some good looking books the knight of angel books look good.

Aww, how come you can't visit? :P I have a love/hate relationship with Cali. While it's absolutely beautiful, it's way too hot during the summers. And year round, actually. I've NEVER seen snow. Blegh!
I bet Emi has been feeling safe and secure since you haven't had as much time to stalk her. But now she can get back to checking to make sure her hedges are empty and looking over her shoulder! You got some pretty shinies this week. I hope you enjoy them!

Haha! Psh, even a bff visiting after months of not talking can keep me away from stalking Emi! >:) It's my full-time job!
Looking forward to your fallen review.
What a cool mailbox this week. Hope you have fun reading :)You can find my IMM at The Bookishsnob
Great giveaway haul you got there! You're lucky (: Those Knight of Angels books look amazing. Hope you enjoy them!
Seems like you had an awesome week for your IMM! Especially the giveaway books you got - lucky bird!

Looking forward to see what you think of Fallen and Torment - I have yet to read Fallen, but it looks great!

This is what I got In My Mailbox this week. Happy reading! :)
You know you always win a ton of books! LOL. you're like a book magnet! I'm so unlucky when it comes to contests! I did thought my mailbox this week isn't so bad, but yours is just amazing. I am jealous! *glomps*
I still need to read the sequal to Fallen. I just adore those covers. The dresses that those girls where are stunning. Enjoy the books you got!

I've been wondering if I should give FALLEN and TORMENT a try. I've heard mixed reviews! Enjoy your haul :)

Here's what's in my mailbox this week!
Um, how on earth do you win so many books??? Haha. Happy reading.

I'm glad to hear that you met up with your friend this week!
Great reads. Talisman of Elam and Tranquility Initiative both sounds really interesting.
My IMM
Wow Kristina, you got some fabulous books from giveaways! I still have yet to read Torment, it's been on my list forever but I just haven't gotten to it yet. The Knight Angels books look great too, can't wait to see what you think of them!
Great bunch of books! Congrats on all your book wins. Fallen was pretty good, I hope you enjoy it too along with the rest of your books!
@Jenny: LOL, even when Kristina's busy I still have to be on alert. I think I saw TWO pairs of eyes outside my window this week, not the usual one...

@Kristina: *hugs* I'm sad that your friend had to leave you. I just saw my bff off today too, so I know how you feel (but it's not as bad, since she goes to school two hours away instead of a gazillion states away). But at least you have some great books to keep you occupied until she comes back! You'll have to tell me what you think of the Talisman of Elam. I really enjoyed it (I'll be posting a review of it this week). It was very classic sci-fi Star Wars-ish. :)
Nice haul this week. ;D I'm really looking forward to what you have to say about the Knight of Angel books. I've been thinking about adding them to my tbr pile.
I have the first book from the Knight Angels series, but still haven't picked it up.
Enjoy :)
You are so lucky with the book giveaways. :) Looks like you got a great haul this week. I am looking forward to your reviews on all of these books!
Hi! I lived in Norco when I was a child. My older brother is Troy Howell. I am happy to see that you will read his book - The Dragon of Cripple Creek. If you want to know more about him, he's at penchant.com. I think the book is wonderful but, I am biased because he's my brother and I wish him lots and lots of success! Happy Reading, Rebecca Howell Gibson
