Book Blogger Hop Sept. 24-27

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Jennifer @ Crazy-for-Books. It's a chance for book bloggers to interact, make new friends, and most importantly, share their love of books!

This is my very first hop! :) I've seen the hop around since I've started blogging, but I haven't gotten around to it. Why? Oh, simple. I'm just lazy! :P

Anyway, this week's question is:

When you write reviews, do you write them as you are reading or wait until you have read the entire book?

I never write a review while I'm reading the book. I'd end up marking down the entire book in my review and come up with a 6-page Word review if I did! I write my reviews after I've finished a book -- usually immediately after, so it's fresh in my mind. I do, however, write down notes on Word while I'm reading. I tend to forget things I want to say or mention if I leave it up to memory, so I'll have little post-it notes all over my book to "focus on this section, Kristina!" I also scribble down quotes, but that took too long and slowed down my reading, so I just have post-it notes for the page numbers of quotes I'd want to include in my review.

How about you all? :)

I am following you now! Thanks for stopping by my hop post.

I saw you are doing Sword of Truth challenge-- have you read before or is this first time?

Hi Jennifer, thanks for stopping by! :)

Thanks for the follow, brandi. :D This is my first time reading the Sword of Truth series. I've heard about it before, but never got around to reading it (although I watch Legend of the Seeker on TV, lol :P). The books are ALWAYS checked out at the library, though, so I can't get my hands on the books. :(

Hopping by...thanks for hopping my way. The only problem with post-its is that they sometimes fall out of the book! So I have to put page numbers, too.

Welcome to your first hop! I'm hopping by to visit and follow. :-) Thanks for that review of the Maze Runner--I've been avoiding that book for a year, but with the quotes you provided, I think i'm going to have to give it a look!

Welcome to the Book Hop! I try to particiapate every week because it's such a great way to discover awesome blogs out there....like yours!

Thanks for stopping by :o)

Like you, I write the review after reading because writing the review at the same time interrupts the flow of the story for me.

Oh... and I'm a new follower.

@Laurel: Too true! I usually try to put them near the binding, so they have less chance of falling out. It has happened, though, so I have a "central" post it note where I write down the page numbers and just go back and look em up later. :P

@Tiger: Thank you! And I'm glad you mentioned my quotes interested you! I almost scrapped the idea of including quotes, because I wasn't sure anyone would read them/was interested! So thank you <3

@Jennifer: Thank you! I'm really glad that the review made you want to read the book! That's the first time I've had that happen to me, ahha, so I'm excited! It's a really amazing book, and I was appalled when I saw it mentioned on Scroggins's list of books to ban! x=

@Tammy: Aw, thank you Tammy! That makes me really happy. <3 Have a great weekend, too! And happy reading!

@Marty: No problem-o! Thanks for stopping by, as well! ^^

Returning the blog hop Kristina! I like your blog and your reads, consider me a new follower... Interesting that you've got the Terry Goodkinds lined up - we got given the whole set at the shop, Mum brought them home and got hooked, and now they've filtered down to me! Hopefully I'll get started on them soon.
